Angela Blancovargas was born and raised in Southern California and moved from Liverpool, New York to Plymouth in 2006. Angela has her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, Masters in Education from Ball State University, and is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Studies. Patrick Pendexter was born in Portland, Maine and soon migrated to Plymouth, Indiana. He started teaching dance at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in 1991. Besides working full time and teaching dance, he takes classes at IUSB. He holds a DVIDA Professional Certification in Ballroom Instruction. |

Marcia Heintzberger joined the LDA in 2009, her background in dance began with her first teacher, Anna Marie Sagi, who studied under Walter Camryn and Bently Stone. Marcia has a professional relationship with Rosemary Doolas, Director of the Chicago Dance Medium and continues to be involved with this company. Nikki Koontz was born in Union City, Indiana where she started dancing at the age of 2. At the age 3 she moved to Bremen and continued her dance education with her grandmother, D.J. Koontz, who owned and operated the Bremen Dance Studio for 56 years. Nikki has studied dance at many local Studios and has participated in many local events. She has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Ballroom dance. Nikki had her own dance studio from 2004-2009. Her two main philosophies in life are: "Be true to who you are" and "Dance like no one is watching." Nikki teaches the LDA dance competition teams, if your interested contact us today. |

Teena Nichols resides in Warsaw, Indiana where she has been a licensed hairstylist for 28 years. She began dancing in 2008 and it has become an obsession! Teena has recently completed her level 1 training with The National Teacher’s Association for Country –Western Dance (NTA) Nichols is also training to become a ballroom instructor. |

Jannine Clemmons began her dancing career in 1989 on roller skates until she fell down during a
competition and has since had her feet on the ground. In 1990 she began line dancing and in 2000 she began her square dancing career. In 2003 she continued to expand her knowledge by taking Round Dancing. In 2005 she began taking ballroom dance lessons at LDA. She has served as past president to square dancing clubs and has also taught line dancing at many LDA events. In 2011 she hosted and participated in C1 Blitz Weekend at LifePlex where square dancers from 3 states (Indiana, Ohio and Illinois) were taught the “Challenge� level of square dancing. |

Ed Scherer-Berry taught ballroom dance as an Arthur Murray instructor while in college. He holds a B.M. degree in dance (Contemporary and Ballet) from the Florida State University School of Music. He has choreographed liturgical dances for churches, and made his debut as a ballroom dance professional in Marshall County at the 2012 “Dancing with the Stars� event. He enjoys teaching “dramatic� Latin dances such as tango and paso doble, and smooth dances such as waltz and foxtrot, and their quicker versions—Viennese Waltz and Quickstep. |

Leslie VanOverberghe happily comes to LDA/FFSW after years of staying home and raising two excellent human beings. She resides in North Liberty with her college sweetheart husband and two children. Her love of dancing began at age 7 and continues today. She loves ballet and took lessons devotedly for 13 years. She still misses it! Currently she serves LDA as a Representative who gladly answers questions and helps you pick just the right dance class for you or your child. |
