Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Advanced BootCamp: This class is designed to help you reach the next level of fitness. If you like to work hard, are a fitness enthusiast or are just tired of the same old routine, come try this tough approach to exercise…and have fun while you get fit!

BodyPump: This 60 minute program challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast!

Breath-N-Motion: In this class, students will engage in deep breathing exercises and gentle body movement designed to relieve stress and enhance health and vitality. The class will explore the many connections between breath and movement, enhanced with healing music.

Burn Zone Cycling: Get in the Zone with this low-intensity cycle class. Designed to get and keep you in your target fat-burning zone. Cycle to the beat of the music and have some fun!

Cardio BodyPump: A combo of cardio segments & the classic weight room exercises of BODYPUMP.  

Cardio Class: Intervals of high intensity cardio and toning that are fun and easy to follow with fresh, new music. Abdominal training and a stretch of all the major muscle groups make this a complete workout. 

CardioHiLo: A high energy, easy to follow class with the goal of cardio training through choreographed moves and resistance equipment. 

Core Blast: 30 minute class. Working abdominals, oblique muscles, back and glutes, this class will strengthen and tone your entire core. A quick warm-up will lead into standing and floor work all followed up with a stretch for a complete core workout. 

Cycling: Come and learn about indoor group cycling. Easily modifiable to all fitness levels with goals based on resistance, RPM, range, and intensity to improve your fitness and performance. This is one ride you don’t want to miss! 

Cycling Express: 30 minute class. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on the bike will make for a fast and efficient cardio workout. All fitness levels will benefit from this short but intense ride! 

Fit & Fun: Class catering to the over 50 community with emphasis on cardio endurance, toning and flexibility. Instruction given for all fitness level. Exercises and a final relaxation will pro-mote stress reduction and mental clarity.  

Mat Pilates: Participants of all levels will improve their fitness with exercises to strengthen and align the core, improve joint mobility, posture, and firmer abs. 

PILOXING®: Take the power, speed and agility of boxing and blend it together with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates and you have Piloxing. PILOXING® blends the best of Pilates, boxing and dance into a high energy workout. 

Sassy Dance Newbie: Join us as we break down some of the core dance moves from Sassy Dance! 

Sassy Dance: Fitness fuses with dance in this energetic workout utilizing music from many eras including the present. Numerous dance styles are represented with fitness moves choreographed into the routines. Students receive a cardiovascular workout, balance moves and a relaxation time. 

SilverSneakers® I- Muscular Strength & Range of Movement: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are use for resistance; a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. 

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation training to burn maximum calories and improve cardiovascular health. 

Restorative Yoga: Focuses on relaxation and renewal – relieving stress through gentle movement and restful postures. This practice soothes the nervous system, helps quiet the mind, and release deeply held tension. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. This practice will help lower heart rate, blood pressure, and help stimulate the immune system. It helps the body return to its natural state and prepare for a good night’s sleep. 

Tabata Spin (45 min) All you love about indoor cycling in the high intensity Tabata style! Bring your cardio to the next level by training in intervals of 20 seconds. Time spins away when you’re having fun!

Tabata Training: Tabata is a High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.) workout implementing a 20-second work session followed by a 10-second rest period for a total of 8 rounds per exercise. The class consists of 4 different exercises. 

Turbo Kick®: The hottest kickboxing class around! Turbo Kick® is an addictive workout that combines athletic moves, kick boxing, and hip-hop flavor in a party atmosphere. Turbo Kick® is an interval based class that allows participants of any fitness level to participate. Come join the party! 

Walk and Burn: Crank up your metabolism with this no-frills, fat-burning, fast-paced walk class guaranteed to cover at least 3 miles! Go Legs Go! 

Yoga: Let’s enjoy a workout of strengthening, lengthening and balancing poses in a fluid moving workout. We will also gain the benefits of relaxation, stress reduction, and mental focus. 

Zumba: Come dance away your worries with a fusion of Latin & International music. Easy to do, featuring aerobic/fitness interval training to tone and sculpt the body. 

Zumba Express: Start your morning with a party! Zumba Express is a 30 minute upbeat, calorie blasting experience! Routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Footwear that is appropriate for movement is required for this class.

AQUATIC CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Aquatic Arthritis: This class is for people who have joint or mobility problems. This is a no impact, light intensity class to loosen up our joints or for those who need light physical activity. Classes take place in the Therapy Pool. 

AquaLite: emphasizes good body mechanics, keeping joints in a stable and functional position. A great class for members with mobility issues or those who are new to aquatic exercise. Swimming skills are not necessary.

AquaPower: Using the natural resistance of the water is an enjoyable way to get or stay in shape. Swimming skills are not necessary to share in the benefits of flexibility, muscular toning and cardiovascular fitness.

Finning: is a challenging, high intensity class. Swimming skills are recommended but not required. Class size is limited due to the number of fins available. You may bring your own if you have them.

Master Swim: The ultimate swimming workout that will help you refine your strokes to increase efficiency, endurance, and swim distance. Students will be challenged to keep improving their technique and gradually increase their effort and yardage to improve their fitness and endurance.

SilverSneakers Splash® Activate your aqua exercise! This class will improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kick board is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.  

Splash of Dance: is for the beginner thru the experienced water aerobics person with a variety of music for someone who wants to raise their heart rate. If you can “step in place” or get a little “funky” this is for you. There will even be “freestyle” for the total enthusiast. Upper and lower body workout and laughter will be encouraged!
