Meet Our Personal Trainers
Vickie is an IFPA Certified Advanced Personal Trainer with 14 years experience. Vickie’s experience enables her to develop exercise programs for her busy clients that improve their overall appearance, increase their energy levels, maximize their results, and enhance their sense of well-being.
Membership Director, Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor:
Mel Norton holds AFAA certifications in personal training, group fitness, senior fitness, youth fitness and stress management. Silver Sneaker MSROM and Cardio Circuit certifications are held as well. Mel also manages the membership office, teaches several group exercise classes and is a personal trainer.
Fitness Floor & Personal Training Director, Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor:
Julie has a BS in Exercise Science from Ball State and is an AFAA certified Personal Trainer, & Assistant track coach for Lincoln Jr. High School. Julie is responsible for Fitness Assessments entailing exercise prescriptions and developing work-out programs for members.
Fitness Assistant &
Erin is an IFPA certified Personal Trainer and is CPR/AED and First Aid Certified, Silver Sneaker Splash, MSROM, and Yoga Stretch Certified. Erin has been with Fitness Forum Sports & Wellness since 1993 and has held several positions throughout the facility over the years.
Alicia is an AFAA certified Personal Trainer. She also holds certifications in CPR and AED. Alicia is an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard with almost twenty years experience in aquatic and land athletics. Alicia holds a BA degree in Fashion Merchandising from Ball State University. She enjoys developing programs for all ages and fitness levels, surf and turf.
Fitness Assistant, Sports Performance, Personal Trainer:
Stephanie Ferch hold a BS in Exercise and Sport Sciences. She is a an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and is CBT Certified. Stephanie has completed an internship with UCLA Sports Performance. She was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach/Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Manchester College, and a 4 year college athlete in soccer and track.
BASIC TRAINING CLASS
Do you want to get fit and healthy but you need some exercise basics? This is a training class to prepare you for any high level intensity program. Types of training include: strength training, cardio training, stretching and endurance training. Any level of fitness may take this basic training class. Please call 574-936-2333 or visit the front desk to sign up for this class.

AQUA PERSONAL TRAINING BOOTCAMP
Do you get stuck in a rut when designing resistance training programs? It’s not always easy to come up with fun ideas that also get results. Water training adds variety to programming, leading to results and increased enjoyment. The pool is a great place to train because there is less gravitational stress to the joints. Water exercise can be a training bonus that helps protect muscles, ligaments and joints from impact training. So when your work-outs become too challenging or you need a new direction, take your work-outs to the water.

New Leaf testing will give you results on how your heart rate levels should be during exercise and your Personal Trainer will provide work-outs targeted to hit your numbers. Attention all high school and college students: the Personal Training team at Fitness Forum is ready to accommodate your time and wallet. Start an exercise series with a certified trainer of six 30 minute sessions and get moving the right way! We know you want to make your time fun, effective & see results all within your student budget.

Do U TXT msg? We CAN 2! Do you need help with exercise work-outs or making yourself do a higher intensity session? Maybe you exercise but you’re not sure how to “set-up” a work-out. Maybe you would rather know how to do a work-out at your home but how do you do that with what you have?
This is our new package: for $50 you get a work-out regimen texted to you two days out of the week for 2 months! You can communicate with your trainer on any questions, concerns or updates!
